Norwich Business Improvement District approached FSG Sign and Graphics Ltd with a brief to create, manufacture and install a piece of art as part of the city’s rebrand.
The City of Stories campaign was designed to create a fresh, confident and vibrant look for the city which would help raise awareness of Norwich as a must-visit destination.
Cathy Grint, Commercial Director at FSG Sign and Graphics Ltd. explained “The aim of the project was to reflect on the past, present and future of both Norwich Bid and Norwich as a city. The objective was to create a focal point to generate interest with locals and visitors alike, both by word of mouth and on social media - all on a tight turnaround of just 4 working days!”

An engraved triangular prism was formed from 10mm CNC routered clear acrylic panels, internally faced off with VION Dichroic film and lit using RGB LEDs. The top and base panels were manufactured from mirrored acrylic and sat on a black acrylic and DIBOND plinth.

VION Dichroic Films are suitable for a wide range of internal applications on flat and slightly curved surfaces making them ideal for decorative purposes in retail, exhibition and hospitality areas.
The 55-micron, polyester decorative window films are PVC free and available in two colourways, Ambience Glacial and Ambience Glow with a 3-5 year durability.
