Paul Turner Signwriters has completed the latest vehicle branding project for long standing customer I.C.S. (UK) Limited, transforming a brand new Scania rigid with a digitally printed wrap using Arlon DPF 4650GLX.

The project continues a relationship spanning more than eight years, during which the team has wrapped numerous rigid vehicles and large vans for the I.C.S. fleet.

Bringing the I.C.S. brand to the road

The latest Scania received a full digitally printed wrap across the sides and rear of the rigid body, with company logo graphics applied to the cab to complete the branded appearance.

Together, the graphics give the vehicle a consistent, professional finish, carrying the I.C.S. identity across both the cab and load body.

Paul Turner Signwriters completed the installation in just one day, adding another finished vehicle to its growing portfolio of work for the customer.

Arlon DPF 4650GLX for commercial vehicle graphics

For the printed graphics, the team used Arlon DPF 4650GLX. Available from William Smith, this 70 micron, white gloss, high performance calendered film is designed for flat surfaces and simple curves, with fleet and vehicle graphics among its listed applications.

The film features Arlon’s X-Scape Technology, designed to support bubble free installation. Its repositionable adhesive allows installers to adjust the graphics during application, helping with positioning before the film is firmly applied.

A light grey adhesive also provides opacity, helping to prevent dark substrates or existing graphics from showing through the printed design. Although this project involved a brand new vehicle, that coverage can be useful for other fleet graphics applications. The adhesive is also designed for clean removal when graphics need changing.

The film is rated for outdoor durability of up to seven years when unprinted, rather than this being a lifespan claim for the finished printed wrap.

A partnership built over eight years

This was far from the first vehicle Paul Turner Signwriters has completed for I.C.S.

Over more than eight years, the team has worked on numerous rigid vehicles and large van full wraps for the company. The latest Scania continues that established relationship, bringing another vehicle into line with the fleet’s branding.

Kerry Orme, Managing Director at Paul Turner Signwriters, confirmed that the customer continues to be happy with the work. I.C.S. has previously left a five star Google review praising the consistently impressive results delivered by the team.

For Paul Turner Signwriters, the project is another example of repeat business built on a customer relationship that extends well beyond a single installation.
