When working on a vehicle of this calibre, the quality of the finish needs to reflect the quality of the car.
That was the thinking behind MW Graphics’ transformation of a brand-new Range Rover SV LWB using 3M Wrap Film Series 2080 High Gloss Black, supplied by William Smith.
The Range Rover was wrapped from top to bottom ahead of a special handover to its new owner. By combining the enhanced finish of the 3M High Gloss range with a considered approach to material selection, MW Graphics created a deep, premium black appearance suited to one of Range Rover’s most exclusive models.
A Premium Product for a Premium Vehicle
The Range Rover SV sits at the top end of the Range Rover line-up, combining luxury, performance and distinctive design. For MW Graphics, it therefore made sense to choose a premium wrap film capable of delivering the high-quality appearance the vehicle demanded.
3M 2080 High Gloss Black was selected for the visible exterior panels because of its enhanced gloss levels and reflected image quality. The finish gives the wrap a deep, mirror-like appearance that more closely resembles high-gloss automotive paint than a conventional gloss vinyl.
It was an important consideration on a vehicle with large, uninterrupted panels and a commanding road presence. Any inconsistency would be easy to spot, making both the choice of film and the quality of the installation particularly important.
