Wrapper’s Delight! Early Success for Premier Engraving with 3M™ IJ280
With the launch of any new product, you can guarantee at least two things: excitement and speculation. With 3M’s newest digital print film, IJ280, there are plenty of bold claims being made about the performance and features on offer, but are they all true?

Premier Engraving recently completed the installation of a ‘Super Mario’ inspired digital wrap for local roof and gutter maintenance company, ‘The Gutter Guy’.
The design for the Mercedes Sprinter is a fantastic example of IJ280’s superior print quality and is sure to make an impression out on the road.
Craig Robertson from Premier Engraving said, “IJ280 is now our go-to film for digital prints. The stability it provides for application once printed is nothing short of incredible. Pairing that with the high gloss finish makes the wrap really stand out.”
They were particularly impressed by the brand new v4 Comply technology and repositionable features. The installation only required a single pair of hands and being able to anchor and remove the film to navigate around the joins of the vehicle made for an altogether stress-free application.
IJ280 is ultra-conformable, requiring significantly less heat and pressure to apply. It is also proven to be 20% faster to install than any digital print film currently on the market. When paired with Gloss Wrap Overlaminate 8428G, IJ280 also provides a ‘wet paint’ gloss finish, enhanced UV durability, and faster outgassing.
All of these fantastic features meant that Premier Engraving were able to approach the project with full confidence and the customer was thrilled with the result.
