William Smith helps John Young Signs Ltd impress with quick turn around for Enterprise Hub development project

In February, Scotland-based sign and graphic specialists, John Young Signs Ltd, contacted William Smith for a project they were commissioned to carry out at Enterprise Hub in Fife.

The Hub, which offers enhanced enterprise and business services to commercial entrepreneurs and business start-ups, was developed on the first floor of the Royal Bank of Scotland’s premises in Glenrothes’ town centre.

John Young Signs Ltd was required to apply vinyl to over thirty windows on the outside of the building featuring the business’ branding, as well as over thirty windows internally throughout the new offices.

Upon hearing the demands of the project, William Smith provided renowned window film VION Crystal 5500  to the company. As a film designed with a permanent pressure sensitive adhesive, the product was perfectly suited for the external and internal decorative window applications, and with an impressive five-year durability, it was ideal for the new business hub.

Working under a tight deadline due to the local councillors of Glenrothes opening the new buildings the morning after installation, VION Crystal 5500 was also ideal due to its ease of application, meaning John Young Signs Ltd was able to complete the project in just two days. The film was applied without any complications, as a result of the product’s thick backing paper which eliminates the risk of creasing during application in addition to damage that would lead to the need for re-applications.

Having used the product since it launched, John Young Ltd praises VION Crystal 5500 as being very effective not only in looks, but also as a protective film. Proving to be one of the high-quality vinyl products on the market, VION Crystal 5500 not only gives the effect of frosted glass, but additionally reduces the risk of glass-related injuries due to its visibility. For the Hub, this was a great selling point, as the building was required to meet national health and safety requirements.
From the initial measurements of the building’s windows, to completion of the application, John Young Signs Ltd was hugely satisfied with William Smith’s services.

Darren Kroegler, said: “William Smith provided a fantastic next-day service. The business’ friendly customer services meant getting advice on the product and making sure there was enough in stock to meet the requirements of the project. This was only strengthened by our excellent working relationship with the trade supplier’s local representative, Jen Breingan, who is a great representative of William Smith’s growing reputation.”
