In the bustling halls of NEC Birmingham, Inspired Print Solutions undertook a remarkable project at EvViva restaurant in Hall 3. The mission: to transition from a traditional Italian restaurant with extended dwell times to a dynamic, quick-service, and industrial street food concept known as Str(eat) Kitchen.

Project Details

The transformation unfolded over a three-week installation period and required the use of specific architectural films to achieve the desired effect:

Cover Styl’ U10 Dark Concrete: Cover Styl's Dark Concrete architectural film played a pivotal role in encapsulating the desired industrial ambiance. Its dark and rugged texture brought a sense of raw authenticity to the space.

VION Dichroic Ambience Glow Window Film: VION Dichroic was strategically employed to enhance the windows, contributing to the vibrant and dynamic street food theme. This unique film is characterised by its ability to create a stunning interplay of colours as light interacts with it.

Product Application and Results

The application of these architectural films proved to be a straightforward and seamless process. The results, however, were nothing short of exceptional and the client was overjoyed with the outcome.

Material Reusability and Notable Features

Inspired Print Solutions expressed their intent to utilise these materials again and have already done so at both NEC and Utilita Arena Birmingham. “The concrete Cover Styl’ is not only visually appealing but also practical, being wipeable and flame-resistant, crucial features for a catering unit. The dichroic film exceeded expectations, delivering a spectacular effect on the windows unlike any other,” stated Lydia Clarke, Marketing Director at Inspired Print Solutions. “There are proposals for rolling out this same concept to other units. We would use the same materials again due to the quality and extraordinary appearance of the finished unit.”
