Entrusted with the challenge of elevating the custom MDF desk's aesthetic, Signwrite Studios, in close partnership with a specialised fit-out company, sought to merge both luxury and durability.

“The project demanded a material that could withstand the daily wear of a bustling school environment while simultaneously enhancing the aesthetic appeal of the desk,” said Ben Locke of Signwrite Studios. “Given the requirements and our experience as endorsed installers, the choice to use 3M DI-NOC Architectural Film was clear.”

He further elaborated on the specific design choices, “To harmonise with the school's existing wooden fixtures, we chose 3M DI-NOC DW-1891MT (Dry Wood Matt). And to bring a modern dimension, we integrated AE-1959MT (Earth/Stone Matt), offering a refined contrast and ensuring the desk blended with its surroundings.”

Typically, 3M DI-NOC films are known for rejuvenating existing structures. But in this case, they accentuated the features of a bespoke unit, achieving a premium finish. Signwrite Studios’ expertise ensured that the transformation was efficient and of the highest quality.

“The install was completed in just 2 days,” Ben highlighted. “Working with DI-NOC is always a pleasure. Its flexibility and quality make it ideal for intricate projects like this.
