Road Map of Wrap Films: Arlon Overview

At William Smith, we’ve stocked Arlon for many years now and it’s exciting to see them continue to make waves in the global vehicle wrap market. They continue to push the boundaries by developing game-changing products. Arlon has placed itself at the forefront of vehicle wrap innovation while still remaining price competitive.

Our customers love working with Arlon and only have great things to say about their customer service support, perfectly echoing our own values here at William Smith.

Several years ago, Arlon made the decision to solely focus on digital print films. However, last year, they released PCC: a new, revolutionary, Premium Colour Change film that provides all the quality and reliability we’ve become accustomed to when dealing with Arlon products.

Back in 2017, Arlon took the industry by storm when they released their unique FLITE technology, and it continues to be a firm favourite with installers across the UK and around the globe. The lite contact system allows for ultimate repositionability, meaning you can freely float the vinyl over the substrate until firm pressure is applied.

The adhesive is dry and low tack, removing the risk of the material sticking to itself. This also means you’ll no longer require an extra pair of hands to help with the application. Another key benefit of this is how easily the liner removes. It greatly reduces static, the risk of contamination, and graphic stretch.

Arlon has films for a variety of vehicle wrap applications, from deep recesses to gentle curves. Their most popular films include DPF 6000XRP, DPF 6100XLP, SLX, SLX+ and PCC Premium Colour Change film. Each of these films falls under the deep recess application category of films. IllumiNITE reflective film is less conformable and therefore falls under the category of single-step applications. Finally, DPF 4600LX and Fusion Wrap fall into the gentle curves category.
