A guide to William Smith’s trade supply services

While many of you are aware of and regularly use our successful material supply service, you may not be so familiar with the complementary products and services we offer, such as our comprehensive range of manufactured products, supplied exclusively to the trade. These include traffic signs, tray signs, fingerpost signs, noticeboards, bespoke signs, digitally printed graphics, and pre-spaced letters and logos. A range of associated accessories is also available, most of them ex-stock.

Signage

CE Marked Traffic Signs
We have invested in achieving BS EN12899-1: '2007' , the main standard for the manufacture of road traffic signs for the manufacture of permanent road traffic signs, so you can be sure that all finished permanent retro-reflective road traffic signs we supply are CE compliant, with the CE Mark clearly visible. Furthermore, all materials and sign faces for road traffic applications are CE Mark compliant.

Sign Blanks
If you don’t have your own fabrication shop, or need the convenience of ready-made sign blanks of any size, we will make them to order within some of the fastest turnaround times in the industry. Sign blanks are available in aluminium, composite aluminium and steel, with a choice of mill, vinyl or reflective finish.

Tray Signs
Required for many different types of signage projects, the tray sign is one of the mainstays of the sign industry, and we can fabricate these in aluminium and composite aluminium, with mill finish, vinyl finish, or with vinyl graphics or digital print applied.

Bespoke Signs
As a result of recent investment in increasing our workforce and the installation of new machinery, we now have the capacity to produce an even wider range of bespoke signs in a wide variety of materials. Stylos Multi-functional Sign System
This robust, easy to install signage system is ideal for fingerposts and adaptable to a host of city centre and rural environments. With a choice of caps, collars, arms, panels and bases, the system can be used to create fingerposts for wayfinding schemes, and post and panel information boards or location maps.

Digital Print

Our HP Latex printers and large in-house stocks of standard and specialist digital media mean that we can complete your projects speedily and with no compromise on quality, whether for vehicle wrapping, textured wall, window graphics, floor graphics, pop-up and point-of-sale or banners – and much more.

Letters & Logos

With our three Zund plotters we have massive capacity for quick turnaround for any of your pre-spaced vinyl cut lettering or logo requirements, which means that we can easily undertake large contractual and overflow work on your behalf.

Sign Accessories

We offer an extensive range of signage accessories, most of them ex-stock, including a full range of retro-reflective circle and triangle traffic signs (fully compliant and CE Marked); sign blanks, anti-rotational clips, back to back clips, square clips, banding tools, stainless steel bands, buckles, universal channel clamps, universal offset brackets, screwbands, uniclamps, posts, base plates, post caps, and channel.
