VION turns lift into a promo platform
Swindon-based Omnia Vinyl Ltd has helped a national employee engagement company transform a standard lift into a promotional platform for their client, thanks to VION.
Omnia Vinyl was approached by the firm to help with a project from a client who was looking to promote its inhouse pension scheme. The company’s marketing team chose to use lifts as the medium to share their message, providing a ‘double impact’ advert by using both the doors and the rear wall of the lift.
The innovative firm immediately turned to William Smith, part of the William Smith Group 1832, to supply the perfect film for the job - VION VP3000 Series.
As the advert was only to be displayed for six weeks, the 80-micron film offered the ideal, cost-effective solution, providing a high-quality finish for these short-term graphics.
The monomeric calendered digital print film features a clear, solvent based, pressure-sensitive adhesive and a high-quality 140gsm double-sided PE, air release liner that gives excellent stability during printing.
“For the requirements of lift wraps - flat surfaces with edges - VION is ideal. The film is so easy to use, and the V-Flow air release liner works really well,” said Gareth Watkinson, MD.
He added: “It’s pretty robust as well, it can be partially removed and repositioned without stretching or distorting the image.
“The VION range is great value for money and the fact there is a choice of adhesives, including a removable adhesive is ideal for our short-term lift wraps.
“We complete architectural refurbishments of lift cars and lobbies, as well as the advertising lift wraps and we haven’t had an instance yet where William Smith couldn’t provide us with the material we needed.
“Nothing is too much trouble for the guys and girls on the end of the phone, whether we need samples or just some advice, they’re always happy to help.
“The next day delivery service is a lifesaver, especially when you’re on site and need extra material.”
