Wrap Marine, a specialist yacht finishers and event branding company from Southampton have completed an impressive refurbishment of 56 doors within an NHS clinic premises, with the help of Cover Styl’ architectural finishes.

The challenge Wrap Marine had was that their client was ultimately looking to refurbish a number of doors on the ground floor of their building, changing the doors from an ugly wood grain finish that brought a very much dated look to proceedings to a solid, light blue colour that would brighten up the interior environment. Wrap Marine’s client had considered the utilisation of paint for this project but due to the time this would take for drying, and the impact this could have on the disruption to work, coupled with the concerns they had over the quality of the finish the paint would provide following a bad experience they had on another floor in the building, they were ultimately looking for an alternative solution. There was only one answer. Architectural Film.

‘’In regard to the pattern selection, the customer outlined the need for a light blue solid colour which would match the design remit they had. The main consideration and activity that needed to be taken prior to the installation was preparation. It was integral that I ensured the doors were all prepped and primed to guarantee that the product bonded to the surface that would lead to a successful installation.’’

Carl added; ‘’The application was as seamless as I promised it would be, the Cover Styl’ product is great to work with, and although preparation was key (as mentioned), the wrapping of doors was fairly simplistic, so I didn’t encounter any complications at all during the install. All 56 doors were fully refurbished within one week, causing absolutely no disruption whatsoever to the working day within this environment. In terms of the results, our client was absolutely delighted, particularly highlighting the fact they were astonished by the superiority the finish provided in contrast to the painted doors on the floor above.’’
