Lynx Signs, has recently completed two major projects for a major Garden Centre, using the new VION brand digital film, supplied by William Smith.

How Vinyl Film Can Transform Visual Projects For Less

“We have been working with our client for around seven years, providing digital print and signage for various promotions and events,” says Lynx Signs Director Tony Mitchell.

“The most recent large projects for installation at the Garden Centre were for Halloween, when we printed 120m of VION digital print material and applied to fret cut Foamex.

For their Christmas Winter Wonderland, when 100m of VION digital print material, was printed and again, applied to fret cut Foamex. On both occasions we were working from artwork created by Steve Putman Design”

Tony Mitchell comments: “The film has a nice finish, handled well, was easy to apply and doesn’t shrink. It printed really well with good finished print quality. The overlaminate also worked well and was easy to apply using a ROLLSROLLER. VION is an all-round good material and we got on really well with it.”

“The end product was good, we were pleased with the result and our client  was very happy. The material has done what it’s supposed to do,” he adds.

Lynx Signs has been using William Smith as a supplier for two years.

“They are very easy and relaxed to work with—great people, and we get on particularly well with our technical sales rep. As a family business William Smith has a family orientated ethic and everyone is very welcoming,” summarises Mr. Mitchell.

Product Information For VION Series Vinyl Film

VION Series VP5000 is a gloss white five year polymeric calendered digital printing film with both clear and grey adhesive options. Its high quality clean white face film gives excellent printability, whilst the grey adhesive option gives excellent hiding power. The heavy duty 170gsm double sided PE coated liner gives excellent lay flat qualities on all printing platforms.

VION Series VL5000 is a transparent polymeric calendered overlaminate with a clear permanent adhesive, designed for use with Series VP5000 to protect and extend the life of printed graphics. The overlaminates are available in a choice of gloss or matt finish.
