Think Wraps' Porsche Taycan Wrap for 75th Anniversary with 3M IJ280
In June 2023, Think Wraps was given the prestigious task of wrapping a brand-new Porsche Taycan for Porsche's 75th anniversary. The project, driven by the 'Driven by Dreams' campaign, aimed to pay homage to Porsche’s legacy. Inspired by one man’s dream to create the ultimate sports car, for 75 years, Porsche has been fuelled by a relentless pursuit of bringing dreams to life.
Material Selection
Selecting the right material was pivotal for this project. Think Wraps chose 3M Print Wrap Film IJ280 due to its superior quality, durability, and weather resistance. The film's ability to deliver a smooth finish with precise colour matches was essential for accurately reflecting Porsche’s branding.
Project Execution
Scheduled over five working days, the wrapping process went smoothly, attributed to the functionality and ease of using the 3M wrapping film. "The team's feedback was overwhelmingly positive about working with this product. Its exceptional performance and productivity made the process efficient," shared Michael Kitson from Think Wraps.
Application Details
The material's outstanding print quality and ability to conform with minimal heat were crucial in achieving the intricate design details. "We found the IJ280 to be remarkable in its performance, aiding us in delivering a wrap that was both visually stunning and of the highest quality.”
