Carbon effect vinyl is becoming an increasingly popular means of customising vehicles, from small standard cars to high value sports and luxury vehicles, to give them a distinctive appearance. 3M DI-NOC carbon fibre is a vinyl film that looks like the real thing but is less expensive and more versatile.

The film is easy-to-clean with a modern, visually appealing design making the carbon fibre finish perfect for unique wrapping of interior or exterior car surfaces such as bonnets, boots, roofs, side view mirrors and interior plastic.

It's not just a carbon pattern printed; the film has an embossed finish resembling true carbon fibre, which reflects light as expected and changes the highlights of the pattern depending on the viewing angle.

3M carbon fibre is easy to apply. It features Comply adhesive to allow a bubble free and straightforward application.

3M's Handy Application Guide

• 3M recommend the use of a primer when using any of the DI-NOC films to ensure complete adhesion to substrate.
• For vehicles 3M WP-3000 water based primer is suitable for use on any edges where the film has to be heated and formed.
• Application temperatures of between 12°C - 38°C are optimal.
• Gentle heat in the form of a heat gun should be applied to conform the film around convex/concave curves, edges and recesses.
• Minimal heat should be used in order to avoid distortion of the film’s pattern.
• Post heating of the film once applied to 80°C will ensure total adhesion.
